His drawings and murals are “populated by urban influences, but he combines them with organic forms and lines”. His artworks are a combination of improvisation and construction. Spontaneity is very present in his work.
De Croock’s distinctive abstract geometric style is first generated by the artist drawing lines, and filling the spaces in between with select colours to create a visual structure and a sense of narrative.
Stefaan De Croock (Strook) finished a Master’s of Fine Arts in graphic design at Sint-Lucas, in Ghent, Belgium. His first exhibition was held in 2010, and he has shown his work across Europe and the United States.
